SWEPCO can Trespass the Gentry Safari but not Bella Vista?

Why did SWEPCO spare Bella Vista?

Q. IF THE MISSOURI PORTIONS OF ROUTE ALTERNATIVE 109 CANNOT BE AUTHORIZED BY THE APSC, WHY WAS THE ROUTE ALTERNATIVE INCLUDED IN THE ROUTING STUDY AND THE ARKANSAS PORTIONS OF ROUTE 109 INCLUDED IN THIS APPLICATION?

A. Route 109 was included because it depicts the only feasible “northern” route alternative for the proposed transmission facilities. The Bella Vista area of northern Benton County is a heavily developed commercial and residential area.  If the route had been designed to stay in Arkansas, a large number of residences and some businesses would have to be removed in order to obtain the necessary right of way. By crossing the state line into Missouri, Route Alternative 109 avoids the necessity of taking any homes or businesses.

I guess it was OK to traverse the 50 year old Safari Park 4, as it was never mentioned in the application, the EIS, or any of the documents, including the transcript of the trial, and the Safari did not $$$ to stay out of the line!

Stay away from Bella Vista, Arkansas

(they have nice homes)

Even if you trespass MO
